Knowledge Transfer from Vendor to Design Authority
The design authority is the central storehouse for the NPPS Technical information. This includes operations, maintenance, engineering, chemistry, quality control, etc. All of this information must be conveyed from the vendor to the engineering/deisgn authority. The major systems and component technical information includes thousands of pages of documentation.
In order for this to go well, you must do the following:
- The Transfer of the Technology/Knowledge
Must Be Part of The Contract, and Requires Planning
- The Transfer Plan Will Require Coordination and Integration Across the Operating Organization
- Transfer Plan Requires a Schedule
- Begin with the end in mind and work backwards to identify schedule requirements
